THREE OF MY FAVORITES: The Mansion House- Joseph and Emma's second home. Joseph only lived here for two months before he died. It was one of the first hotels. He and Emma ran it together after closing their store. It was a very hard task, feeding and caring for so many. This is only their house part of the mansion.... The hotel part has been taken down, but inside you can see the model of how it used to be. Isn't it such a beautiful building?

The graves of Emma, Joseph, and Hyrum. Yes, their bodies are under there!!! Freaky, I know. To the left of the grave, their is a little shack, under which Joseph and Hyrum were secretly buried under after they were killed in Carthage, as to keep their bodies from being stolen. Several years later, their bodies were found, and buried next to Emma right here.
