ON OUR WAY TO MIMI AND PAPA'S HOUSE for our big Christmas Eve celebration, we stopped by the house of our dear friends of the past 18 years--Geovanni, Magda, and their daughters, Shannon and Lisette. Shannon is almost 18, so we are close in age and always have a lot of fun together. Lisette is just two years younger, and just as beautiful as could be. Magda worked very hard on making all of us one of her Colombian specialties for lunch. She makes delicious chicken (caldo), rice, and corn, that is really unique and hard to describe but is basically the best dinner ever! Shannon and I had a lot of fun taking pictures of everyone and a few of us together. We were able to talk Lisette into enjoying us, too. ;D All of the kids played the Wii and had a blast while doing it! We then exchanged gifts: For Magda and Geovanni, we made them a really yummy cheese ball (it's a kind of dip for crackers and chips etc), and for Shannon and Lisette, we gave them fruity, awesome-smelling markers and fluffy socks. But then they went ALL OUT and bought super cool gifts for each of us....a Ludvig Van Mises book for my dad, an oil diffuser (lovely scent) and Ferrero Rocher chocolate for my mom, Victoria Secret lotion and perfume for me, Hollister shirts for Randy, Ian, and AJ, and adorable, hardy coats for Heidi, Hannah, and Holly. It was so very sweet of them!!!!! We had a wonderful time with them and look forward to seeing them again soon. We love you, Roa family!
