Holly's "just-woke-up/super-surprised/overly-excited" face
Left: "Dahee Opit!" (Daddy, open it!)
THIS YEAR WAS HOLLY'S FIRST LEGITAMATE CHRISTMAS, since she is only two and we didn't spoil her too much in years before as she was too young to remember. But THIS year, Holly received the following:
- Mini-shopping cart (she begged and begged for it a few weeks ago when she saw it at a little store at the mall. She is SOOO excited to have it for her own, now!) from Mommy and Daddy
- 2 mini Lala Loopsie dolls from Mommy and Daddy
- Lala-Loopsie doll from Mema
- Orange Lala Loopsie couch for Lala Loopsie doll from Mommy and Daddy
- Stuffed, blue dolly from Sister Giroux (Can you tell how much she loves dolls???)
- Puffy, blue coat from the Roa family
Everything is very, very cute and she loves it all so much! She is also enjoying sharing everyone else's toys. Hehe. :)
Last night, on the way home from Mimi's, Holly was being a real stinker. In an effort to cover her loud, shrieking cries, my Dad turned up the radio (Mix 102.9), praying that some good music would be playing. In just a few moments, what I would call a miracle took place: almost ALL of Holly's/our favorite songs played back to back! It started with Someone Like You, by Adele. Holly sings this song at the top of her lungs, and can nail almost every word of the chorus! We all sang as loud as we could, too...practically shouting! Just when that ended, another favorite, Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri, began playing! Again, we all sang it as loud as we could! Favorite after favorite (Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People, Stereo Hearts by Gym Class Heroes...) continued to play on the radio until we were almost home. It was a very happy evening, and thank heavens we all still have our voices! But best of all, Holly stopped crying and joined us in the fun. :)
Merry Christmas, Holly!
