Special Days (Ian)

IAN IS OUR "YAN YAN," as Holly has so adorably named him. Yan Yan wasn't able to do too much on his day since it was the day before our Mimi's super-big-deal Christmas Eve celebration. I had a ton of cooking to do, and Mommy had to finish sewing and organizing all of the nativity costumes for the nativity/play with all of the cousins. (Last two pics are of him testing out Paity's Mary robe since they are about the same height. He looked just like a girl in the outfit. So funny!!!!) But despite all of the busy-ness, Mommy made him a really nice quiche-y breakfast, he was able to go on several shopping trips with Daddy, and he had a ton of fun running around outside as he played Dart guns with his brothers. He was a great sport and claims that he still felt very special. :)

Post Note: Ian and AJ haven't been getting along very well, lately. Daddy took Ian aside the other day and taught him that in order to better love AJ, he would have to selflessly serve him. Ian really took this to heart--not only by being kind in his words and actions, but by sincerely praying for a gift that he could give to AJ to help mullify their problems. Last night, Daddy gave Ian 5 dollars. When Daddy took Ian to Walgreens this morning, Ian saw some Dart guns that were only $4.99. Ian saw this and quickly explained what he'd been praying for, saying that it was a miracle to find such a perfect gift at just the right price. Sure enough, AJ loved the gift. Ian is such a sweetheart!!!
