Fourteen Stakes = A LOT of People

THE DANCE THAT I'VE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO FOR SOO LONG IS NOW OVER. Boo-hoo.

A lot happened, and I don't feel like typing about this forever, so I'll cover the whole thing very briefly. Keep up if you can!

New dress, shoes, and jewelry at JCP. Metallic-pink toenail polish. Awesome hair. Great make-up job. Love it. (See right.) Go to pick up friends. Hour drive. Arrival. Screams. Elaine S. Dalton. Great talk. Counsel to read scriptures, pray and smile EVERY DAY 100%. Yes Ma'am. Move to dance hall. Over 2,000 people. AHHH!!! Cute boys. No, wait. VERY cute boys. Hellooooo! Yes, you may. Loud music. Friends. New friends. Catch up with old friends. Okay, it's getting crowded. Too crowded. Immense heat. Probably over a hundred degrees. Need... air! Lets go outside, Laura. Okay, Peter. Nice breeze. So wonderful. Let's just stay out here. But no, it's the last dance before school starts again. Let's go back in. Several line dances. Still very hot. Need a mirror. A monster looks back. "No one told me I looked like this!!!!" Spiff up. Much better. Yes, I'll dance with you. Paul. Terran. Jacob. Peter. Alex. Max. Jeremy. Forgot his name... and his name. Tall, blue-eyed sweet boys are my favorite. Talking with best friend Cristal. Bumped into an old friend all the way from my old ward in Cleburne! More dancing. Dad checking in on me every-so-often (chaperon). Getting tired. Sore feet. Still very hot. Wanna go home. STILL meeting new people. Exchanging cell numbers. Last slow dance. Goodbyes. Gather everyone and bring to the car. Finally we can go. That was terrible. So glad to get out of the heat and off my feet. Starving. No food since 9am. Nearly midnight now. Drop everyone off at church. Dad takes me to get a burrito. Yum. I love my dad. Stayed around all night taking care of bad kids with no back-up. And being with me. My Superman. Should be able to count as our daddy-daughter date... for the week. Joking. Okay, feeling much better, now. Thanks, Dad. That dance was amazing. Very fun. Want to go back. But it's OVER. Summer of 2009 is pretty much history by now. One more month before school starts again. Sigh..... These are the memories.
