I Love My Daddy

DEAR DADDY BEAR,

I love you so much. I don't know how I deserve to have you as my earthly father. I probably don't. But I'm so thankful things turned out the way they did.

You are amazing. You have been so patient with me for all of these years, and have loved me from the beginning. I know that I have been a difficult child. I know that I caused tons of problems. But you've always loved me through it all.

Naturally, I've sometimes thought that your rules are "unfair". But after I've cried and let my feelings get hurt, I always pray to my Heavenly Father and am reassured by the Spirit that you only give me rules and restrictions because you love me, and because you want me to have eternal happiness. You want me to be safe and secure. You want me to be the best that I can be.

You are so selfless. You always put yourself last, and your family first. You've sacrificed so much to be Mother's husband and our dad.

You worthily hold the Priesthood, and have always freely given me blessings of comfort and protection. You have given me priceless advice since I can remember.

Heavenly Father knew how much I'd need you in my life. He knew that I probably wouldn't make it if it wasn't for you, constantly by my side, always willing to give what help you can. You are such a wonderful blessing to me.

Please forgive me for all he times that I make your life troublesome and inconvenient. I've been unappreciative of all you've done for me; all you do for me. One day, I'm going to make you the proudest father alive, and you'll be pretty close to being as thankful for me as I am for you.

I love you, Daddy. I always will. I thank my Heavenly Father everyday that we will be together forever.

Love,

Your daughter,

Laura Anne
