My mother made these brownies today. They're sitting on the counter, unsupervised, and calling my name.
Everyone is sleeping. If I take one teeny little bite, no one would even know.
But I can't. I can't give in to the delicious, buttery, chocolaty, stress-relieving, problem-solving, warm, chewy, creamy goodness.
Yes, back in the day, I would eat two or three or more.
When I have conquered my natural self (the Laura who loves to eat sweets), I'll probably treat myself to one of these beauties. And I'll enjoy it, too.
Until then, I'll just sit and stare at them, dreaming......
Sigh.
But like I said, I'm proud of myself. I'm proud that, with my Heavenly Father's help, I can say no to my mother's out-of-this-world brownies. What an accomplishment!
